Oil Spill in Cuyama Valley

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to an oil spill in the Cuyama Valley on Tuesday afternoon.

Approximately 15 barrels of crude oil and produced water spilled from pinhole leaks in a pipeline in the 4900 block of Perkins Road, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The leak has been controlled and mitigation efforts are underway.

SBC oil and gas representatives and mitigation crews will remain on the scene during clean up.
