Politicians and Montecito residents gathered for the unveiling of the newly renovated Village Plaza at 1187 Coast Village Road.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Friday afternoon to showcase the building’s new elevator, parking lot, dining patios, and more.
Two new tenants are already scheduled to open in 2018: Renaud’s Patisserie & Bistro and Empty Bowl Gourmet Noodle Bar.
Mayor Helene Schneider cut the ribbon joined by Congressman Salud Carbajal, Santa Barbara City Councilmember Gregg Hart, and other locals residents.
Coast Village Plaza was purchased in 2014 by Hank Hurst and Rich Rosin of H&R Investments. Their goal has been to revitalize the 20,000 square-foot building with a fresh and inviting exterior, expanded patio areas, and a mix of diverse businesses for Montecito residents to enjoy. Construction began in August 2016 with building improvements and a complete renovation of bathrooms and office areas on the lower level.
One remaining restaurant space with patio is available for lease, as well as executive offices on the lower level, marketed by Hayes Commercial Group.
