In the 1920s, a super-sexy woman was called a “vamp,” and her uber-seductive activities were termed “vamping.” This silent movie, released in September 1921, was produced by Goldwyn Studios. It involves two vamps messing with one unlucky guy.
According to the local paper, the filming was done at a million-dollar mansion in Montecito. “The Goldwyn Studios Company . . . has been filming exteriors at Montecito.” – Santa Barbara Morning Press, March 2, 1921.
The “Flying A” film studio stopped making movies here in 1921, so the movie studios that filmed in Montecito from then on were all from Hollywood. There are no existing copies of this film.
