  1. So sad. My condolences to his loved ones.
The collision occurred as the Honda was traveling north and the motorcycle was southbound. The motorcycle drifted across the double yellow lines and slammed head-on into the Honda, which was driven by 42-year-old Bobbie Dowdy of Arroyo Grande. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle, and several witnesses rushed to provide him aid before emergency personnel arrived. Dowdy and her passenger were not injured in the crash, the CHP said.
The crash is under investigation by the CHP, which said weather, drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
