  1. With all the major new releases postponed, what’s the draw? Few people are going to expose themselves to the possibility of contracting a disease just to see an old movie they could easily watch at home. The “experience” of seeing a movie in the theater has been seriously degraded, with patrons constantly lighting up the theater with their cell phones and pulling me out of the moment. One of the last times that happened was opening night of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, just a Han Solo dies. Seriously. And I saw that one at the expensive Cineopolis in Westlake Village where the waiters were constantly coming and going to bring people their fancy cocktails and sushi platters. So much for the premium experience. Since then I’ve mostly been pirating all new releases and watching in my own home theater. I make great cocktails, too.
