Lynne Ralphine Dixon

Lynne Ralphine Dixon, a beloved wife, mother, and nurse, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023, at the age of 79. Lynne was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on September 21, 1943, to Zona Gale Gesas and Ralph Raphael Gesas. She spent most of her childhood summers in Grand Teton National Park where she developed a love for the outdoors and a passion for science. Lynne was an accomplished musician, playing the flute throughout her school years.

After graduating from college as a Registered Nurse, Lynne met and married her husband, Dick Dixon. They started their life together in Los Angeles before moving into Air Force life when Dick was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lynne was a devoted mother to her two sons, Rich and Matt. She also pursued advanced studies while raising her children.

In retirement, Lynne enjoyed day trips to the Central Coast with her husband, was an active member of her community, and was involved in several organizations, including Delta Kappa Gamma, the Alpha Club, and LOVARC. Lynne had a deep faith and was a junior high youth leader and served on the vestry at St. Mary’s in Lompoc before becoming an active member of Santa Barbara Community Church for over 20 years.

Lynne will be remembered for her dedication to nursing, her love for her family, and her commitment to serving her community. Lynne is survived by her husband, Dick, her sister, Annie Buxton, her children and their families, Matt and Amy Eutizzi-Dixon, Rich and Jill Dixon, Taylor, Emily, and Kiah Dixon, and Alyssa Dixon. She will be deeply missed.

The Celebration of Life will be Friday, April 21, at 11am in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Event Center, 138 North B Street in Lompoc.
