Lompoc Police Investigating Monday Night Homicide

The Lompoc Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place in the city on Monday evening.

A 30-year-old man was shot and killed in the 700 block of West Chestnut Avenue after 8:00 p.m. Police officers provided aid until medics arrived and the victim was later pronounced dead at Lompoc Valley Medical Center, according to the Lompoc Police Department.

The name of the victim was not released. The police department has launched an investigation and is asking anyone with information to contact the Lompoc Police Department at 805-736-2341.

This is Lompoc’s third homicide this year. In February a 39-year-old man was shot and killed, and in March an 18-year-old woman was also shot and killed.
