An inbound flight to the Santa Barbara Airport had to divert to Ontario, CA Int’l Airport due to a previous incoming plane’s landing gear failure at around 12p.
OMG! Is that forreal person joking!?! Any person with some knowledge of the airline/airport systems knows about Ontario airport, good lordie.
That would be Ontario, California not Canada.
What?? A plane had to go all the way to Canada because of another plane's landing gear issue? I'm not being sarcastic. I am just genuinely confused. Was there literally no closer place the other plane could go to? Is there only one landing strip here?
Maybe all of the passengers were craving some really good poutine? Just kidding. Ontario International (ONT) can handle an unscheduled flight better than LAX, and it has Class C airspace. Though, I do wonder why not Burbank?
Was the original post edited since you posted your reply? Or did it say "Ontario, CA" all along?
We could all use brushing up on our geography, I guess.
