La Recepción del Presidente Welcomes Rhonda Henderson

The Old Spanish Days Fiesta is a historic celebration of Santa Barbara’s rich heritage and culture, and has been a strong uniting force in our community since 1924. Every year, participants, volunteers, and community members come together to recognize and appreciate Santa Barbara’s cultural heritage. Fiesta is a wonderful way to take a break from the stresses of day-to-day life and enjoy beautiful music, good food, and traditional dancing.

This year’s Presidente, Rhonda Henderson, is a confident and passionate Californian whose family arrived in the states as immigrants during the time of the Great Rancho period. She chose the 2017 theme “Unity through Community” to embody the spirit of collaboration that makes the Fiesta possible every year.

The evening began with a performance by the 2017 Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta.

Then came an amazing performance from the Grammy Award winning Mariachi Divas as the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.

Here is the calendar of events for this year’s Old Spanish Days Fiesta, in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara. See you there!

Viva la Fiesta – Viva la Comunidad!
