I wonder what the attraction is of the 101 center median? Maybe the barn owls want to meet a Thunderbird. It gladdens me that the cops go out of their way to rescue these critters. Great karma, officers!

I actually saw that injured OWL as Turnpike is my off ramp. It was a day earlier.
Maybe many OWLs with their heart shaped faces are trying to give us some wisdom about the importance of driving more safely-- COVID has led to terrible increases reckless driving, in speeding, cutting people off, hit and runs and many "close calls" --senior drivers are also vulnerable in this case as well.
Owls are known to be symbols of wisdom, barn owls (their heart shaped face) --let's drive more carefully and not kill them or others. Keep "washing your hands" of poor driving, and give a hoot for the safety of others when you drive. What is the rush to go nowhere?
