The Federal Bureau of Investigations(FBI) based in Los Angeles is searching for a suspect involved in a bank robbery in Santa Maria on Friday.

The Santa Maria Police Department reportedly received an alarm call at 4:46 p.m. at Community Bank of Santa Maria on 1421 S. Broadway.

A masked suspect reportedly robbed the bank at gunpoint and fled the scene. Employees rang the alarm and locked themselves inside the bank before police arrived.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his mid-30s to early 40s.

The FBI released photos showing the suspect wearing jeans, a gray long sleeve shirt, a purple bandana, and black beanie. He appears to be waiting in line holding a small bag before walking up to a teller.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI or Santa Maria Police Department.
