The family of a local man who was electrocuted during the microburst storm last week is asking for the community's help.

Tony Easbey, a 25-year-old Dos Pueblos High School graduate, suffered extensive injuries and burns after walking through an area where a tree had fallen on live wires. A 16,000-volt power line came in contact with the falling tree during the powerful microburst storm.

It was previously reported that Easbey was rescued from the scene by a neighbor who witnessed the event. He was then taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in critical condition and eventually transferred to a burn center in Woodland Hills.

As of Monday morning, Easbey was heading into his second temporary skin graft surgery. Family and friends created a GoFund Me account to help with the financial cost of Easbey's medical bills and recovery.

I'm glad to know about this gofundme. I donated and hope others will, as well. Both Tony Easbey and Alyssa Nuno are young community members who need our help. Please give what you can. As someone else mentioned, if we all give a little it will help a lot.

The above comment is intended for A-1505401442. Whoever you are, it appears as though you don't think electrical shock is a serious injury and I find your comment to be extremely heartless. If it's a matter of how the news is reported, take it up with them not where people are leaving positive comments.

It doesn't matter what insurance he has or hasn't. Expenses pile up, like housing for the family so they can be by his side. Loss of work, rehabilitation, etc.

Burns are horrific, what a terrible accident! I just donated to help Tony. If many of us each give a little, we can, together, help a lot. (I donated to Alyssa last week too, and am delighted at the outpouring of support for her and her family. Don't know either of these folks.) Please consider doing what you can.

Alyssa Nuno has raised $40,000. Mr. Easebey and family could use some help, regardless of insurance. He's hospitalized at Grossman Burn Center, his family is here. They all can use a lot of help. They've raised $2,900. He's a DP grad and community member. SB did the same for Drew Daly, the Cabrillo Blvd. hit & run victim. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.gofundme.com/support-tony-and-his-family
