“Dog Days of August” is a spay/neuter promotion being offered by the Responsible Pet Ownership Alliance. The promotion offers county dog owners an opportunity to have their dog(s) spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies, microchipped and licensed for just $80 – a savings of more than $500. A one month supply of flea medication and e-collar is also included.

The promotion starts August 1, but space is limited and appointments are expected to fill up fast. Dog owners are encouraged to call now for a chance to secure this special $80 package. To schedule an appointment, dog owners should call one of the following organizations:

• SB County Animal Services, Santa Maria Animal Center, (805) 934-6968

• Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, (805) 349-3435

• Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, (805) 688-8224
