A home destroyed in the Montecito mudflow is being used for two days for training scenarios by Santa Barbara City and Montecito Fire Protection District firefighters. Later this week it will be taken down.
The homeowner plans to rebuild on the same site.

Good use of a severely damaged home. Time was, my son would have been in that photo (retired now).
Un-necessary..
Responders are already “trained” in confined-space-rescue etc..
Someone got paid for the use of this property, why not just say so?
Please explain how this is unnecessary. Continued training is crucial.
I, for one, am curious about what could be so objectionable about this. I would kindly welcome your explanation.
