Community Invited to Take Public Health Survey

Source: Public Health Department

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department is seeking community members to complete a 20-minute online survey. The survey is part of a collaborated effort with Cottage Health and other local agencies to assess the health of the entire county community. The assessment has included telephone surveys, group discussions with key stakeholders, and visits to various community-based organizations. In order to understand the broad needs of our community, the Community Health Needs survey will be available online, in English and Spanish, for anyone who lives in Santa Barbara County.

In order to complete the survey, community members must:

• Be 18 years or older

• Currently reside in Santa Barbara County

The Community Health Needs Survey can be accessed until November 1, 2019 in English and Spanish at www.cottagehealth.org/communitysurvey.

“We highly encourage all community members to complete the Community Health Needs Survey. The survey only takes 20 minutes to complete and is an excellent opportunity to provide input to healthcare agencies across the County. The valuable information collected will help the Public Health Department, along with other local health providers, determine the direction of community health plans in the near future,” shared Joy Kane, Senior Epidemiologist for the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department.

Survey findings will be shared broadly with the Santa Barbara County community by early 2020.
