The Carpinteria Boy Scouts will be selling beautiful, top quality Christmas trees this holiday season.  By having this annual fundraiser most scouting costs are covered.

During a backpacking trip in 2018, Carpinteria’s Troop 50 put out a fire that could have scorched the Emigrant Wilderness.  During the pandemic, our scouts have also been busy; performing trail maintenance, planting indigenous plants along walkways in the city, and several ongoing Eagle Scout projects promise to further benefit the community for years to come.

In order to join scouting, youth must be between 1st grade through 18 years old.  Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that will influence their adult lives.

This is the last scout-run, non-profit tree lot left in the greater Santa Barbara area.

The Christmas tree lot is located at 1532 Linden Ave. in the field behind Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Carpinteria.

The first trees arrive on Saturday after Thanksgiving!  Sales on Saturday the 28th start at 1:00 pm.

Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri 3pm-8:30pm
Sat-Sun 9:30am-6:30pm

We accept credit cards!

Bring a little Christmas into your house this holiday season!  Please support our local scouting families by purchasing a Christmas tree that will benefit the Boy Scouts.

Great job troop 50. We have seen the many great things that you all do for the residents of Carpinteria and we sincerely appreciate it. Your tree lot is the only place we get our trees each year. On grass, under shade cloth, not on a hot stretch of asphalt parking lot at a super market... Your trees are the best! Thank you!!

I’m so glad that Carpinteria Scouts still have their lot running! I will be sure to pass the word to friends who have asked.
As a side note, Boy Scout Troop 37 is also is still running a tree lot in Goleta in front of CVS on Calle Real, near Trader Joe’s. For those wishing to support scouts in the Goleta area, please visit our lot beginning Saturday, November 28th after trees are delivered (around 10am). Regular business hours are Saturday and Sunday from 9am-9pm and Monday-Friday 3-9pm.
Thank you to everyone who supports Scouting throughout the community!

That’s unfortunate that you can’t see all the good they are doing for youth in our community. There have been major changes in the last several years to ensure the safety of our youth and inclusion of all youth and adults. If you have questions about the changes they have made, how the program is being run, and how our youth are being supported to grow into strong, knowledgeable, and resourceful young adults, please reach out to any scout troop in the area. You might be surprised and change your mind.

Don't lose your focus, buying a tree is only supporting the boys in the program, not the BSA. The funds help pay for an entire year of leadership training and outdoor skills training. It is a very valuable and rich program that does help train tomorrow's leaders.
