Brush Fire at Red Rock

At 5:05 p.m. Monday, Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to Red Rock Camp in the Los Padres National Forest for a brush fire. 

County crews responded to support Los Padres forest officials and found two to three acres burning. Los Padres Forest firefighters felt confident in holding the fire and cancelled all further response units. 

Hand crews, dozers, and air crafts responded with the forward progress to be halted soon.

Crews will remain on scene to mop up the fire.

Ridiculous. People everywhere trashing the place with one way in/out. This is second day in a row fire was reported along paradise rd. Hopefully this one is minor. Emergency responders are hating the public right now.

I am about a mile away from this. 45 min and more than a dozen firetrucks have gone by. Nothing for the last 15 min.

I presume the riverbed makes a bit of a natural fire line. I was up there a few days ago and there is still water flow over the roads so hopefully it is easier to contain.
