Attempted armed robbery (code 211) with a gun in the area of Milpas and Soledad. The victim is now at Canon Perdido and Milpas, SBPD responding.

Factotum, I don't agree that this town "appears to celebrate gangsta values." Being exposed to the local high school and college aged culture, where my sons have connected with a very diverse cross section of the community, I find that the values around here are, overall, good-natured and inclusive, not "gangsta." Besides, the perpetrators of this armed robbery are "believed to be from outside the Santa Barbara area," according to an article in Noozhawk's morning report.

The town appears to celebrate gangsta values - everyone is a victim and victims are allowed to take revenge. Our local schools are a common denominator - time we learned what in fact they are teaching that turns out adult products like these. Parents seem to be in abstentia. Not healthy at all. Non-profits are breaking their backs trying to fill the gaps left between this failed parenting and failed time spent in public schools.

Robbery attempt occurred at Soledad and Haley 2 suspects both HMA with black hoodies faces covered occurred at 6:30pm.
