The Thomas Fire Incident Management Team and the city of Carpinteria have established Thomas Fire information kiosks in Carpinteria. Kiosks provide details about evacuations, fire progression maps, air quality status, and updated incident reports. The information kiosks will be periodically staffed and are accessible to the public 24/7 at the following locations for the duration of the incident:

  • Carpinteria City Hall front steps (5775 Carpinteria Ave., Carpinteria)
  • Albertsons at Casitas Plaza Shopping Center (1018 Casitas Pass Rd., Carpinteria)

On Saturday, Dec. 9, N95 face masks will be handed out by the Carpinteria Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at Albertsons at Casitas Plaza Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while supplies last. Masks are provided and distributed through the partnership of the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department, Direct Relief International, Medical Reserve Corps, city of Carpinteria, and Carpinteria CERT. Small and large sizes will be available with a limit of two masks per person.

To date, this collaboration has distributed 50,000 masks throughout the region.
