1925 Earthquake Alert

Exactly a year and a half from today, we will be commemorating the 100th anniversary of the great 1925 Santa Barbara earthquake (June 29, 1925).

There were a lot of stories in the newspapers back then about the quake, but most were interviews with white businessmen and politicians.

I’m working on my “Way Back When” series of books for 1925, and I’d like to include some experiences from families who lived through the quake.

If you have any stories (or photos) from family members who were here for the 1925 SB quake, please contact me through my website: betsyjgreen.com. Please include the name of your family members and where they lived.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Betsy
