[Sunday] morning Montecito Firefighters along with Search & Rescue, AMR ambulance, and Santa Barbara County firefighters assisted an injured hiker at Tangerine falls. Ultimately the decision was made to hoist the hiker out due to his leg injury. In the end, the sounds of nature are all that is left of the mayhem.

Thanks to all the work of the Montecito Trails Foundation, there are endless opportunities to be out in the front country. Remember to use solid “trail sense”. Know where you are going and leave that information with someone. Also, know where you are at so you can get help to you quickly.

The second call came in just after 11pm for lost hikers coming down from Tangerine Falls, the hikers had lost their way and had become disoriented. SBCSAR Teams hiked up and had the hikers out within an hour. All teams were back at the station just after midnight.
