In the 600 block of State Street a business was hit by juvenile thieves on skateboards. The leader is a HMJ (Hispanic male juvenile) with bleach blond hair. According to police, this is an ongoing problem. The juveniles come into the store, steal items and skate away.

Theft in 600 Block of State Street

State Street got abandoned to the vagrants and now getting picked over by the gangs. What happened to this once fair city? Where will the city make up its retail sales tax revenues. How serious is Mayor Murillo about turning Santa Barbara into a gourmet pot destination, like the SYV wine district. Will she ultimately encourage the Chumash to operate a casino in the abandoned Macy's building. Is this really what voters wanted?

I completely agree, Roger, especially in light of the fact that this is an ongoing problem. As a retired teacher in the SB district, my immediate thought was that if the principals of the local schools were told of an HMJ with bleach blond hair is involved, they could most likely pinpoint a possible suspect or two for the police to question. The more details out here, the better. Thank you for doing all you do!

Seems to me that putting the word out to the principals of each of the junior and senior high schools with the description of the "leader" would provide results pretty quickly.
