I heard a call earlier where a house was found with a door kicked in and a door removed, unknown if it was the same door but there's a call for trespassers and/or squatters in the 500 block of Peach Grove.

No one has a right to "squat" in an unoccupied home, for any reason. For one thing, often the home gets damaged.

Lots of squatters videos on Youtube. Issues all over the country. People just simply move in. Hard to get them out, believe it or not. Glad our P.D. is vigilant. Important.

It bothers me that they broke into the home to move in so it wasn't just squatting the police said they were trespassing and told them to leave but kicking in a door is a burglary. My guess is the owner did not want to press the issue but this isn't the only case I have heard 3 others this week I'm sure there are more than that.

Um, yes? It does not belong to them, they have no right to break in and cause damage to someone else's home.

I have heard 4 Squatter calls in a week I'm sure there has been more over the weekend SBSO arrested a female on burglary charges involving a squatter case in Goleta she led them on a short pursuit in her 2011 Vehicle to me if you have a vehicle to sleep in your not homeless...I used to sleep in the front seat of an Olds 98 that was more comfortable than most beds I have slept in...

SBPD responded to get the trespassers out unknown if there were any arrests...
