Based on recent guidance provided by the state, county and Centers for Disease Control, Santa Barbara City College has decided to offer a substantial majority of credit courses online for the Fall 2020 semester.

Recognizing that some courses are difficult to teach online and that many students find remote learning less than ideal, a limited number of courses will be offered in a face-to-face or hybrid format, maintaining appropriate health and safety protocols. A list of the specific face-to-face courses is available at www.sbcc.edu/classes.

It should be noted that courses scheduled for face-to-face or hybrid instruction will transition to an online format should public health restrictions be re-imposed due to COVID-19.

All student services, including the Luria Library and the Cartwright Learning Resources Center, will continue to be offered remotely for the duration of Summer and Fall 2020 terms.

The Fall 2020 term starts Monday, August 24.

The reprieve from the out of area students living here should have a positive affect on available work force housing. And nice to have a reduction of the carbon footprint created from the back and forth racing commute from IV and the Mesa, for a bit.
