Schools and the District Office will be closed on Monday, February 5th due to an incoming severe storm. Forecasts show this is forecasted to potentially be the third worst storm in Santa Barbara County History

This decision was made after receiving recommendations in collaboration with the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management, City of Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County Office of Education and Santa Barbara County Sheriff.

The majority of school districts across the county will be closed Monday as well. The storm is expected to bring flash flooding, mudslides, roadway hazards, creek & river flooding and overflow, high seas, strong winds, downed trees, traffic delays, and other dangerous conditions. Forecasts project the storm system to arrive on Saturday, February 3. Detailed weather forecasts are available at https://www.weather.gov/lox/.
