Police Searching for Suspected Vehicle Thief

Wait -- did the suspect steal the Ford Flex? The headline calls the suspect a "vehicle thief" but the article itself only describes auto burglary. Confusing.

I always wonder about this stuff. It seems every government agency in the country is tracking our every move, yet they can't do a simple DMV search for new registrations filed in the last month for this particular vehicle.
