Last Wednesday, November 7, 2018, the Thousand Oaks Community and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office – Thousand Oaks Police- were struck by a tragedy of almost unimaginable proportions due to the mass shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill.

The citizens of Thousand Oaks, as well as people from all over the county, state, country and even around the world, have reached out in support of the victims and their families.  Many have donated cards, flowers, food as well as money.

This is a difficult time for the victims’ families and the men and women of the Thousand Oaks Police Department want to do what we can to help them and reduce their terrible burdens. The Thousand Oaks Police Department / Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to ask well-wishers who want to mail or send any cards, letters or care packages for the Borderline shooting victims to the Thousand Oaks Police Station.  We will be using our station as a collection hub to assist the families.  Thank you in advance on behalf of the families, but please do not send any flowers or food as they are perishable.

The Thousand Oaks Police Department will ensure your items are delivered to the families with all the honor and respect due to each victim:

  • Sergeant Ron Helus
  • Noel Sparks
  • Tel Orfanos
  • Sean Adler
  • Jake Dunham
  • Justin Meek
