On Monday, February 18, 2019, at about 1650 hours, the Santa Maria Police Department began investigating a report of a missing adult, identified as Catarino Cortes-Mendoza, age 43. According to a close associate of Mendoza’s, he was last seen earlier in the day by family members. After an abrupt departure, no one has seen or heard from Mendoza. His current whereabouts are not known.
Mendoza is described as a Hispanic male, 5’6″, 180 lbs., short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, a blue colored jacket, and orange colored hat. Mendoza is associated with a red 1999 Nissan Frontier, CA 5X71456.
The Santa Maria Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Mendoza. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 805-928-3781, ext. 2277.
