Lompoc Police Searching for Bank Robber

Sheriff's deputies caught this guy today after he tried to rob a bank in the Santa Maria- Guadalupe area. A deputy spotted him in a vehicle on Hwy 135 and initiated a stop shortly thereafter. The suspect fled at speeds up to 110 mph. The pursuit ended near the VAFB main gate, the suspect taking foot-bail westbound, with deputies in foot pursuit. In a few minutes they captured him. The suspect has a criminal history that includes prior felonies.

Seems to me there used to be a requirement that people remove hats and caps when entering a bank. Not a law, but a policy printed on their doors.
