An injured 19-year-old hiker was rescued from Tangerine Falls on Saturday.

Around 1:00 p.m., Santa Barbara County Search & Rescue, Montecito Firefighters, and Los Padres National Forest firefighters responded to the scene for a report of a female hiker that slipped and fell.

Crews hiked to the area and were able to retrieve the woman and transport her to the roadway, where she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

“Rain created slippery conditions along the rocky trail,” said the Montecito Fire Department.

Hikers are reminded to be cautious when hiking on local trails, especially during varying weather events.
