Guadalupe Man Arrested for Arranging to Meet Minor

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at about 6:00 PM, Detectives conducted an operation in the city that led to the arrest of a man who had arranged to meet with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl. The investigation that preceded revealed that 26-year-old Guadalupe resident, Cristopher Alexis Correa, arranged to meet via social media with a minor with the intent to engage in sexual acts.

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at about 7:12 PM, Detectives arrested Correa in a parking lot after he arrived to meet with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl. Correa was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on felony charges related to arranging and meeting with a minor with the intent to engage in sexual acts. This case will be forwarded to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office for filing.
