At 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, Santa Maria Fire Department, CHP, and a ground ambulance responded to southbound Highway 101, north of Broadway in Santa Maria.

According to the CHP report, witnesses report a 2011 Kia sedan driving at a high speed before leaving the roadway, striking a guardrail, overturning, and landing on its roof.
