Goleta IHOP Moving?

Apparently, the paperwork is signed and IHOP on Calle Real will be closing its doors.

The word on the street is they will be reopening at a location in the same lot as the DMV in Goleta. Their lease ran out and could not be favorably renegotiated. Thankfully, they are not going away, they are just moving to the opposite end of Goleta. Yay for IHOP!

I sure hope they change their menu - and add some plant based options. Substitute tofu for chicken. Whatever!! Hold the onions. I can dig it. Thanks for the laughs.

They could always go in to the old Denny's location next to the Nugget on Calle Real . . .

I miss Baja Fresh! Their meat was always on point and were my favorite burritos. Yeah yeah, not authentic, but for burritos, I love the "American" style with lettuce, tomatoes, etc and not just a glob of bland beans and rice with a little meat. I really want one now.

Does anyone recall what restaurant existed in the mid-70s where Itsuki is now? My feeble brain can't bring it up.

Crabby Lobster was definitely there in the mid/late 80's as I did their books. That owner may not have owned it in the 70's but I think it was there.

I can only recall Crabby Lobster, followed by Baja Fresh, but I don't know that the fish place went back that far.

If true, good news for us, as this would be less than 2 miles from us. I can't picture the spot they might take, given the size of the old Pacific Sales facility, but we shall see.

Too bad, if they open up that proposed pot dispensary at the Patterson/Calle Real corner, that would be an instant money maker for them. Pancakes and munchies, a match made in heaven!

Like you can't throw down a handful of high potency gummies in your car, listen to side 1 of the Grateful Dead Europe '72 on your 8-track, and then go chow down at the nearest restaurant? I didn't say they would be passing around a blunt at the door. You can do all three things at once if you get in the In & Out line.

TAGDES - haha? huh? Yeah, I guess I see that..... sorry, thought you were one of those anti-weed dinosaurs! I'll tell you what though, if I had a sore back you bet your buttons I'd be to the gills and sitting in a booth at Petrini's eating one of everything with a #2 salad on the side while singing opera. LOVE that place!

That was my point Sac Jon, I thought you of all people would have figured it out. At least 9:55 am figured out my humor. Try the one I had on Cold Spring Bridge...no one here has gotten it yet.

TAGDES and PITMIX - sigh..... again, as has been repeated ad naseum on these threads about dispensaries, people are NOT allowed to consume on the premises and there are multiple LARGE security guards at each one to make sure that doesn't happen. No one gets high at a pot shop or dispensary. Should be common knowledge by now.

So you're saying you can smoke the pot there at the dispensary and then walk over to IHOP or do you get the munchies just sampling the herb. Will it work on my sore back and go to Petrini's next door here at Calle Laureles.
