Free Parking Shuttle Service for Fiesta Historical Parade

By the City of Santa Barbara

With the Fiesta Historical Parade route on Cabrillo Boulevard, the City has combined efforts with Downtown Santa Barbara to provide free shuttles to help attendees access the parade route from Downtown.

Santa Barbara Trolley and Rockstar Trolley will each be providing three shuttles. The shuttles will pick up attendees near the Canon Perdido Garage (Lot 2), the Granada Garage (Lot 6), the Library Garage (Lot 7), and the Ortega Garage (Lot 10) and will arrive at State Street and Yanonali Street near the Santa Barbara Amtrak Station, which is a one-block walk to the Parade route. The free shuttles will run in a loop up Chapala Street across Anapamu Street and down Anacapa Street to the beach side of State Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 10 to 15 minute intervals (see graphic for locations of shuttle pick-ups).

“Last year the City of Santa Barbara initiated the Fiesta Parade shuttle and it was a great success,” said Public Works Downtown Team Manager Brian Bosse. “We are happy to bring it back again this year with twice the level of service. The City has again partnered with Downtown Santa Barbara to make transportation from downtown to the Parade route easier, allowing the community to enjoy the historic Parade.”

In addition to the shuttle service, the City is also adding temporary bike parking racks in and around the Hotel Californian plaza, which is located on State Street and Mason Street, and on State Street near De La Guerra Street to accommodate alternative transportation.

The Fiesta Historical Parade will take place 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023.
