Our first rosebud opened up on March 4th in Carmel.
This is a Lincoln Rose. This bush has been here for a very long time. All of our roses are now active and growing on the sunny side of Carmel By The Sea.

That looks an awful lot like my Julia Child’s roses, which do smell awesome.
I guess there are Lincoln roses that are not red.
