Firefighters Contain Brush Fire in Los Alamos

Firefighters contained a two-acre brush fire along Highway 101 near Los Alamos on Friday afternoon.

At 1:31 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a reported vegetation fire on in the northbound side of Highway 101 just north of Palmer Road. The forward progess of the fire was stopped at 2 acres in light grass surrounded by vineyards.

There were no structures threatened and an investigator is determining the cause of the fire.
