Nov 08, 2021 07:27 AMThe 154/Foxen intersection has been the location of many accidents, some fatal, over the years. Crossing the 154 by bike can be dicey, especially from the Los Olivos side which has an uphill ramp to the 154. It needs a roundabout.

Nov 08, 2021 09:08 AMAlways hard to tell who is a fault: groups not staying in the bike lane or cars wandering into the bike lane. One thing is sure: "Whether the pot hits the dish or the dish hitsthe pot, it's bad for the dish." Bikers wearing flashing lights, and rearview mirrors on their helmets and NOT aggressively riding 3 or 4 abreast are respectful of others & have an intelligent interest in staying whole. Drivers who won't even pay enough attetion to stay in their lane shouldn't drive at all.

Nov 09, 2021 06:50 AMLook at the skid marks. It does appear they may have been trying to cross the road. Looks like the driver tried like heck to avoid them. Bicycle groups, in particular, don't usually follow the rules of stop signs, etc., tending to think more of themselves as pedestrians with right of way for everything. It's just folly.
