Brush Fire on Ellwood Canyon Road

Santa Barbara County firefighters knocked down a brush fire in the 1300 block of Ellwood Canyon Road in Goleta on Monday evening.

At 7:14 p.m., crews arrived on scene and found approximately one acre burning near an orchard in Western Goleta. Ground crews put in a hose lay around fire and knocked it down but remained on scene to mop up.

There were no threatened structures and the cause is under investigation.

1100 Ellwood Canyon Road 4 miles up canyon from location..Below the gun club possible power lines on fire unknown if spreading..

Appears to be somewhere near 1300 Ellwood Canyon, not sure why it was mentioned near the Winchester Gun Club?

Not sure if you caught it Roger but it's ~1 acre fire with slow rate of spread under lines
