  1. True story: My grandmother and grandfather planned to honeymoon at the Arlington Hotel in Santa Barbara on the day of the earthquake. But thankfully, my grandfather had urgent business to attend to, and so they postponed the trip for the next day, and so were spared the disaster. Had they kept their original plans, would I even been born?
