2021 Spirit and Jr. Spirit of Fiesta Announced

This year, 10 Spirit Finalists and 5 Junior Spirit Finalists auditioned for the title of Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta.  

The 2021 Spirit Auditions were held at the historic Lobero Theatre where Fiesta began in 1924 and was broadcast live on Channel 13/1013.  A rebroadcast of the event will air on Saturday, April 24th at 7 PM on Channel 13/1013, or can be viewed here.

The Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta will receive a $600 scholarship and the Spirit and Junior Spirit Runners-up will receive a $300 scholarship.

This year, in addition to a $600 scholarship, the 2021 Spirit of Fiesta (and 1 companion) will receive a trip to Sevilla in the Andalucia region of Spain to experience the Flamenco culture firsthand. The trip will include accommodations for 5 nights, plane fare, participation in a flamenco show, and private lessons. This generous award is sponsored by the Tourist Office of Spain in Los Angeles.

Ysabella Yturralde
She is 16 and is a Junior at San Marcos High School

2021 Junior Spirt of Fiesta:
Savannah Hoover
She is 9 and is in third grade at Hollister School

Spirit of Fiesta Runner Up:
Natalie Mowers, 17, Junior at San Marcos High School

Junior Spirit of Fiesta Runner Up:
Ariyanna Alcantar, 8, third grade at Foothill Elementary
