SB City has an ordinance that limits the number of hours one can leave trash cans on a public street. Not sure if the County has one.

This was terrific! So informative and well-delivered. I'm not familiar with Mr. Goodnick, but I hope you'll post his presentations more often. Thanks!!!

Is it part of the County code that garbage bins need to be screened from public view? I know years ago that was on the books. Where I live, new people move in and just keep their bins in full public view in their driveways or easements. Back in the day, people kept their bins behind their fence, in the garage, or they built enclosures. Now, they often leave bins anywhere in the front of their houses. Some leave the bins for a few days in the street. What is the County policy?

There are many aspects of the code that people violate. Zoning does not enforce stuff unless you complain about it. In the City you can submit an anonymous complaint but in the County you cannot and your name eventually could be provided to the offender after the complaint is closed.
That quality of life stuff is a big issue here in SB as conditions get more crowded.

Yeah I've been thinking that if the housing laws are going to favor suddenly increase in high density height near lot lines then the stupid rules about how high hedges can be need to go. Los Angeles is actually pretty good about this. Shocked I'm saying they're good at anything. People have really high hedges down there and it works well.
