Non-Profit of the Week: Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara

Janet Garufis shoots a PSA with the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara

The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara will be celebrating 80 years of supporting kids and families in our community.

For over a century, Boys & Girls Clubs have been opening doors of opportunity and preparing young people for a great future.  We see possibility in every young person and are committed to being a voice for all youth in America, no matter where they come from.

Since the first doors opened in 1938 with ten boys, the Santa Barbara Boys & Girls Club has served over 2200 kids annually by building deeply powerful relationships and opening avenues of opportunity.  No matter why they first enter the door, kids leave with the confidence that the Club Experience provides a fun space, and a fostering environment where they can be who they are – and become who they were meant to be.

It will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Heartstone Ranch in Carpinteria.
