Highway 1 Traffic Breaks Near SR-246 in Lompoc

Motorists traveling in each direction of Highway 1 (H Street) near the intersection of State Route 246 will experience up to 10-minute intermittent traffic breaks on Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5 from 9 am until 3 pm.
 
These intermittent traffic breaks are necessary to allow a tele-communications company to move cables across the highway for installation on nearby replaced poles.
 
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be present to ensure a safe environment for everyone. 
 
This work will be performed by Michels Pacific Energy of Santa Clara CA., under permit from Caltrans.
 
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
