Waking Up

The public is invited to join Rev. Karen for a half-day retreat at Meditation Mount, on Saturday, June 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The morning will be devoted to “Waking up!” to the answers to all our questions and the fulfillment of all our needs—always already present inside us.
“We spend all our time looking outside ourselves for that which we think will make us whole and happy,” Rev. Karen says. “The truth is that what you are looking for is within you, and has always been within you.”
The morning will offer an opportunity for inner reflection, along with wisdom talks, sacred music, and quiet walks on the beautiful grounds of Meditation Mount. Randee Vasilakos, registered Science of Mind Practitioner, will be available to assist with prayers for personal healing and reconciliation. People of all faiths and traditions, or no tradition, are welcome to attend.
“No matter what we experience in the outer world, our Source, our true Self, is always standing by to awaken us to a greater truth,” Rev. Karen says. “We access that truth in the silence and in prayer—whether we pray with words, or simply remain in an open meditative state.”

Rev. Karen S. Wylie is an Agape-licensed minister and spiritual counselor who graduated in 2008 from the University of Transformational Studies and Leadership under the direction of Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. She also has a master’s degree in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA. From June 2009 to October 2013 she served as spiritual director of the Symphony of Life Spiritual Center in Ojai, California. She is an agent for transformation, helping others to express their innate spiritual nature in all areas of their lives. She has recently published an inspirational book, Into Me See, a collection of essays, affirmations, and spiritual insights collected over her 20-plus-year spiritual journey.
