Surf ‘n’ Suds Beer Festival in Carpinteria! 
Saturday, August 12th at the Carpinteria State Beach 

“The Beer Festival with a Surf Twist,” will have over 70 craft breweries, ciders and wineries on Saturday, August 12th at the Carpinteria State Beach! Benefiting the Young and Brave Foundation, Surf ‘n’ Suds Carpinteria has become one of the best beer festivals on the Central Coast. 

“The biggest part of what we do is build community. Our foundation has global impact but that is a direct result of a community’s grass-root effort to support their individual families. Events like Surf ‘n’ Suds are huge part of what we do, the more people that know about who we are the more families we can help. We’re dedicated to making sure not one family fights alone, #LOVEbeatscancer,” said Matt Coulter, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Young and Brave Foundation. 

“Having The Young and Brave Foundation participate and supported by a local event like Surf ‘n’ Suds is incredible. It takes a village to beat this disease, we’re so thankful for all the love and support,” added Nathaniel Curran, Co-Founder of the Young and Brave Foundation.

This will be our largest Surf ‘n’ Suds Beer Festival in our five-year history, with over 70 breweries, ciders and wine on site—including Gluten free beers! Live entertainment by Cornerstone Reggae, The New Vibe, and DJ Hecktik!

For the first time ever, the three local Carpinteria breweries; Island Brewing Co., Rincon Brewery and brewLAB have made a collaboration festival beer—Trés Cervezerias XPA! Our Trés Cervezerias XPA is an American Pale Ale with a little extra kick! This beer is light and drinkable with a distinctive hoppy flavor. Galaxy, Mosaic and Simcoe hops blend in the boil with aromas of peach, citrus and pine.

Surf ‘n’ Suds offers plenty of transportation options to get to, and from, the event safely. Guests can Jump on the Brew Bus from Santa Barbara or Goleta for just $15! (Must be pre-paid, no day of passes will be available for Jump on the Brew Bus.) You can also get on Amtrak and get dropped off right at our front entry, or park your bicycle in our free bicycle valet by BiciCentro. 

Along with all of the breweries, we will also have local surfboard shapers, hand selected vendors, plenty of food trucks, and guests can enjoy craft beer by the beach! Play mega sized beer pong, cornhole, and keep the day going by stopping by one of our food trucks. 

We pride ourselves on keeping lines to a minimum, by not over selling Surf ‘n’ Suds, having plenty of quality craft breweries on site, and providing an enormous number of restrooms! 

Tickets are $65 for VIP and $50 for General Admission. VIP includes an hour early entry at 11:30 a.m. and allows you to sample beers not available during the General Admission Session. We also teamed up with Beer Breath Co., and every VIP guest will receive a complimentary tote bag! Less than 30 VIP tickets remain, but plenty of General Admission tickets will be available through next week. 

This event has sold out the last four years, and will do so again this year! Don’t miss out one the best beer festival on the Central Coast!
