Santa Barbara Textile Recycling Workshop – Funded by CalRecycle

April 9 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm PDT

Textile Recycling Workshop

Join us for a FREE textile recycling workshop hosted by the California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC) and the Santa Barbara Regional Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ), funded by CalRecycle, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Goleta Community Center. You are welcome to join at your convenience and stay as long as you can. The workshop will include keynote speakers, demonstrations, and endless opportunities to learn about the world of textiles and why reducing textile waste is so critical. The workshop aims to expand responsible textile recovery in Santa Barbara County by exploring partnerships, feedstocks, and local service opportunities for textile reuse, repair, and recycling and other green design considerations for textile circularity.

Event collaborators include the Resource Recovery and Waste Management Division (RRWM) of the Santa Barbara County Public Works Department, MarBorg Industries, Mission Linen Supply, the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, Toad & Co, Fibershed, and so many more.

See exhibits from leaders in the textile industry from across California, and opportunities to network and discuss textile recovery opportunities. Participants will walk away understanding the potential for textile circularity and recycling in California.

Please share this event widely! Everyone is welcome.

Please RSVP no later than April 2, 2024.
