Junior League of Santa Barbara 81st Anniversary Rummage Sale

The Junior League of Santa Barbara (JLSB) is proud to announce the 81st Anniversary Rummage Sale, happening on Friday and Saturday October 27th and 28th, 2017. Friday from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and Saturday 8:00am – 2:00pm at the Earl Warren Showgrounds, Exhibit Hall. First established in 1934, the community based sale is one of Santa Barbara’s longest standing charity events and serves to benefit both the Junior League and provide low cost, new and gently used merchandise to the community at extremely affordable prices!
Admission to the Rummage Sale on Saturday is free of charge and open to the general public. With over 2 million items for sale in over 18 categories, such as: name brand clothing, baby, toddler, sporting goods, vintage items, furniture & kitchen items, this Rummage Sale has something for everyone.
Community members interested in a premier first-look experience and early access to the sale are encouraged to purchase a $15 ticket online or at the door for the Pre-Sale Event, on Friday, October 27th 6:00 – 9:00pm. There will be music, refreshments and shopping galore. Don’t miss this opportunity to ensure you get your pick of the best items before they are gone! Trucks will be available for hire to transport your large purchases.
Last year’s event hosted over 500 shoppers and raised over $50,000. All funds raised support JLSB outreach initiatives as well as our new signature project S.A.F.E. House Santa Barbara, a 6-bed, residential shelter in Santa Barbara County for girls who have been victims of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.

About The Junior League of Santa Barbara
The Junior League of Santa Barbara is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Chartered in 1924, JLSB has a local history rich with projects that have changed the lives of many of our community members. The JLSB is currently facilitating the opening of S.A.F.E.House (Saving At-risk youth From Exploitation House), a 6-bed, residential shelter in Santa Barbara County for girls who have been victims of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. Other notable contributions include the launch of the Sexual Assault Response Team Cottage (SART Cottage) located at Cottage Hospital, bone marrow and blood drives, Eastside Library renovation and Downtown Public Library programs to improve youth literacy.
