Attend an evening with local John Ridland as he signs his newest book Epitome and Epiphany: An Abstract and an Afterpiece.

Divided into two Parts, Epitome and Epiphany is an emotional journey of loss and transformation. John Ridland, through both poetry and prose, shares his early experiences trying to start a family with his wife.

The first Part shows the reader the epitome of the Mother and Father’s pain; describing a powerful time in their life. The second Part is comprised of the Parents’ epiphanies as they try to grapple with what has happened, and find meaning in the tragedies. Both these Parts could not have been written so beautifully if they did not have the powerful emotions behind them; emotions that no one should have to experience.
