Create an Emboss Print at the Next Free Studio Sunday at SBMA

July 9, 2017 @ 1:30 am - 4:30 am PDT

Visitors of all ages are welcome to participate in this hands-on workshop with SBMA Teaching Artists on the Museum’s front steps. On the second Sunday of each month participants explore a different medium, including clay, metal, ink, wood, photography, and paper. All projects are inspired by works of art in the Museum’s permanent collection or special exhibitions. Participants also receive free passes for entrance to the Museum.

In July, create an emboss print using the organic shapes and bold colors of Azechi Umetarō’s Skier (Sukiya) (1955), currently on view in You Are Going On A Trip: Modern and Contemporary Prints from the Permanent Collection.
