A taste of Hawaii in Paseo Nuevo – 1 Year Anniversary for ParadICE

ParadICE celebrates their 1 year anniversary September 1st at Paseo Nuevo with $4 shave ice all day and hula dancing from 2-4pm! 

Lifetime friends and Santa Barbara locals Lee Jacobs and Marek Nold had a dream to bring a taste of Hawaii to the mainland, saving their customers the expensive plane ticket. After years of perfecting their authentic shave ice, they opened their store in the Paseo Nuevo Mall on September 1st, 2018 with the help of friends and family. 

ParadICE serves delicious gourmet shave ice. Flavors are made in-house with real fruit, organic cane sugar and purified water. Customers have the option to add a scoop of premium Santa Barbara Ice Cream to the bottom and tasty toppings on top. 

During their anniversary on Sunday September 1st, 2019, they will be serving their shave ice for a promotional price of $4 all day. From 2-4pm, Angelita Eller and Hula Anyone will be performing hula and teaching those interested. Hula Anyone is dedicated to the preservation of Hawaiian hula and Tahitian dance traditions by providing a nurturing platform to learn traditional dance forms. “Hula Anyone is a consistent source of positive energy and we are delighted to have them be apart of our 1 year celebration!” Says Co-Founder Lee Jacobs. 

Being the only dedicated shave ice shop in Santa Barbara and surrounding towns, ParadICE was well received within the community by locals who crave authentic shave ice and by tourists experiencing our coastal gem, Santa Barbara. Their presence on State Street is strong, especially during these warm summer months.
